This aluminum eyepiece caddy for all Meade ETX Maksutov-Cassegrain scopes serves a double purpose. It keeps as many as seven 1.25" eyepieces and your Autostar computer hand control close at hand so you can find them easily in the dark. It also helps you level your scope when setting it up so that your computer can find celestial objects more easily.
The ETX caddy is placed on top of your tripod so that the holes in the caddy line up with the bolt holes on the tilt plate of the tripod. Your ETX is placed on top of the caddy and the tripod bolts are threaded up through the caddy and into the ETX base to hold the scope in place. The bubble level on the caddy can be used as a guide to help you level your tripod by adjusting the length of the tripod legs.
If you’ve ever fumbled for an eyepiece in the dark while observing with your Meade ETX, the AstroZap Eyepiece Caddy is about to become your new best friend. This lightweight, custom-fit accessory mounts directly onto the OTA of your ETX Maksutov-Cassegrain, keeping your most-used eyepieces close at hand—and out of your coat pocket.
Made from sturdy yet lightweight black ABS plastic, the caddy is precision-formed to follow the curve of the telescope tube for a snug, secure fit. It attaches with hook-and-loop (Velcro-style) strips, meaning no drilling or permanent modifications are required.
This version is tailored to fit the ETX-90, ETX-105, and ETX-125, and includes two eyepiece holders sized to fit standard 1.25" barrels. Whether you're swapping between high-power planetary views or wide-field scans, you’ll spend less time reaching and more time observing.
Designed specifically for Meade ETX-90, ETX-105, and ETX-125 Maksutov-Cassegrains
Holds two 1.25" eyepieces securely
Curved back conforms to OTA for a sleek, custom fit
Attaches with hook-and-loop strips—no tools or permanent modifications
Made from durable black ABS plastic to withstand field use
Keeps eyepieces warm and within reach during observing sessions
In colder weather, keeping your eyepieces close to the OTA (and thus slightly warmed by the scope and your hands) can help reduce fogging when swapping them out. Plus, you won’t need to take your eyes off the sky to dig through an accessory case.
